Chris Perugini

Being a lifelong athlete is a commonly shared trait among many CrossFit coaches (and athletic trainers in general), but Chris argues that it’s “better late than never” in the world of fitness.

Certifications:

  • CrossFit Level I Certified
  • CrossFit Barbell Certified

Chris didn’t always look the way he does now. Quite frankly, he was a lot bigger. But, one day, Chris realized that an unhealthy lifestyle of poor eating and little-to-no exercise was a one-way ticket to disease and complications later in life, so he began a vigorous personal diet and exercise campaign in 2006.

18 months later (and 70 lbs lighter!) Chris began CrossFitting and hasn’t looked back since. With no bad globo-gym habits to break, Chris was able to learn the basic CrossFit movements on a clean slate.

“I had become so accustomed to running and endurance that I didn’t want to give that up in the name of a strict strength program. CrossFit was exactly what I was looking for: a program that blends strength, endurance, and so much more.”

A web developer by day, Chris holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Hartford. He will graduate from the University of Connecticut in December with an MBA.
