Gina cranks out the sit-ups in front of ball central.
See all those balls in the background? Those are your responsibilities, your work, your kids, your worries, your fears, your life. All the stuff that you have to take care of, that you have to do, that you have to be, everyday.
Put them all to the side for an hour at CrossFit.
Pile them in a corner.
Let them sit by themselves for 60 minutes.
Work on yourself instead.
For an hour.
Forget what you have to do. Forget what you need to do.
Play.
Sweat.
Laugh.
Find how to be happy again.
It will roll over into all the rest of your life.
You need those 60 minutes. And they’ll make you better able to handle all that other stuff.
Trust me.

Exactly. That 1 hour at the gym might be the only thing keeping me sane these days. It is sort of like my reset button (if I were a Windows machine that is*). Plus I am glad you subtly headed off the obligatory balls jokes, I didn’t want to be that guy.
Wicked pissa of a WOD last night! Or for that matter, Mondays too. Loved ‘em both!
* yeah that’s right, nerd humor. it’s how i roll.

60 Minutes….that’s how long that 25 minute AMRAP felt like. I remember looking at the clock, dead tired, and we were at the 2:02 mark. Melis, Barry and Nate, on the other hand, laughed at that WOD, chewed it up, and spit it out. Nice work. Looking forward to tonight!

60 min; it’s hard to imagine what that does for ME. But imagine too, that how great it feel for hours & hours after. That hour how it really does soften the roll back when all that crappy stuff wants to come crashing back in. N8, Kirk, Melisa, Barry Holy crap we got us some “Fire Breathers”

I remember thinking at round 6 that I can’t have single digits on my reps and still felt left in the dust when I finished 12 RDS compared to Barry and Nate, nice job guys!

Oh and I how could I forget to mention Jillian’s 17 RDS? You rock girl!
