What exactly is “elite training”?CFS_mens_cf_blkred_large The CrossFit tagline is “Forging Elite Fitness” — what does that mean?

Does elite mean exclusive? The best? Designed for athletes? Best results? Best quality?

Yes. To all of that.

CrossFit Watertown is elite fitness that everyone can do. How can that be? We take the best functional fitness methods that derive the greatest results and we make them accessible to everyone. You don’t have to have a 500lb deadlift to come here. But if you do, that’s okay, you’ll benefit from our methods. If you have a 50lb deadlift — or you’ve never deadlifted in your life — you’ll learn and achieve results too!

CrossFit Founder Greg Glassman says, “We should all imitate the methods of the champions.” He’s right. We have to aim high. If we aim low, we achieve low. But if we aim to be elite, maybe we get somewhere. And if we are elite already? Well, then we improve too.

When you’re searching for a new body and new results this year, search for those forging elite fitness and who have demonstrated the ability to provide results. There’s a roomful of trainers like that at CrossFit Watertown. They are forging elite fitness. Look around and compare. Then pick up the phone and call us for your free session. You’ll be so glad you did.

If we aim low… well said Lis. I don’t know what elite really is, all I know is that for the past 4 years I’ve been setting physical goals and meeting them and because of that other areas of my life have improved. The two that I had for this past year were 5 consecutive kipping pull ups and at least 1 pull up from a dead hang. I got both. I have my sights for 2010 on:

Unassisted ring dips 2-3 of ‘em
    Bench my body weight
    1000 CFT

I’m taking a couple of days off; I need some rest and will see you guys on Tuesday. I’m sorry I missed the CF Football WOD today, I love the longer Sunday WOD. Damn you need for rest!

I’m starting the interview circuit tomorrow and I know I need to approach that hiring manager like I’d approach the bar with a new PR weight on it. “I will lift you.” “You will not beat me!” I may drop the weight on an attempt, but if I keep my chest up and remember form and give it my all, I will get it.

    Oh and BAM!

    David

In my experience lifting the person who interviews you is not necessarily a good way to start off – especially if you drop them. Try a handshake first.

    Good Luck

Becky made a funny! Becky made a funny!

Good luck, David. Keep driving. Be smart. Go hard. Use your strength wisely. Go get ‘em!

  5. David Kirk Says:

Thanks guys! Becky, I will start with a handshake then try to OHS them. If I can do that, I’ll try to TGU them!

Ok, off to bed. Need my rest, don’t want bags under my eyes.

    Peace

  6. Keri Says:

Good Luck David, I’m crossing my fingers for you.

Being only four months into the ELITE journey with the ELITE CFW trainers and the ELITE CFW team members to the goal of ELITE fitness has been the best achievement for me in 2009. Progress is visible….. physically, mentally, emotionally. It doesn’t matter where you may be when you start..CrossFit is ‘The ELITE’ when it comes to overall fitness..

Go gettem David … your determination is the best!!
