CFW Daily

filthy The 5pm class tackles the “Filthy 50″ last night.

Reminder: Thanksgiving is tomorrow. No matter what is going on in your life, take a look around. Consider. Be thankful for the good things. Think about improving what’s not so hot. Be kind to each other. And then unleash hell on the barbell.

On Dec 5th, we’ll host a benefit for the American Cancer Society to honor Sue’s mom and her battle against cancer. Please join us in the workout. Learn more here.

Also on Dec 5th, we’ll host the Lumberjack Memorial WOD to benefit the fallen at Fort Hood. Learn more here.

SCHEDULE ALERTS: All classes are canceled Thurs/Fri/Sat. Instead, we will meet 9am on Thursday, 3pm on Friday, and 9am on Saturday.

So two WODs on the 5th? Should be fun fun fun. Oh, and BAM

  2. David Kirk Says:

I love an 18 minute hold time. That gives me ample time to comment on the CF Watertown blog! I have to say, that was some fun last night. It is amazing how much more I can do, or the harder I can push myself when others are watching. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement. I really thought I was done after the warm up. I was trying to think of a way to slip out of the building. But then I thought, just take it one movement at a time.

I am now determined to get a double under and a better box jump.

  3. Lisbeth Says:

That’s it, David — just one movement at a time. And one rep at a time.

Gillian Mounsey said something really cool to me right after she finished her 100 muscle-ups in 35 minutes a few weeks ago. I asked her how she breaks that sort of thing down in her mind and she replied: “No matter what the count is, I’m always only doing one.”

  4. Dan Says:

I’m looking forward to the 5th…I just made a donation to the ACS from me & Mikey for Sue’s mom.

David I’m with you on the double unders…I’m able to get singles but really need work on trying to string them together.

  5. David Kirk Says:

I am glad today is a rest day. In fact after seeing the Lumberjack WOD, I may end up resting up til the 5th.
