CFW Daily

derekbelieveDerek. Do we really need any words?

David, wondering why we’re running stairs for a warm-up in the back of an old mill building and yet somehow it seems like fun.

The 6pm class, after the WOD, staying and voluntarily doing 44 Birthday Burpees with me. (Thanks, guys.)

The WOD results yesterday — and a month ago. Observe, measure, repeat.

  5. David Kirk Says:

Lis, for the record, I wasn’t wondering why, because ours is not to wonder why…

  6. David Kirk Says:

    Way to go Rich!

@ Barry, I find it quite humorous that we thought we did so much more weight the prior time. No matter how you slice it, that was a tough one.

  7. beery Says:

yeah, I was definitely thinking of something else

  8. Rich Says:

“What was once shredded is now wrecked. Will I ever walk upright again?” YES, that was a tough one especially tacked on to the snatch fest. Good job everyone, there was certainly much grunting and groaning going on.

  9. Dan Says:

Wow…thats some impressive imporvement all around the board, sorry I’ll be missing you guys for the post turkey day wod. I’m hoping to visit CF Central London to get my wods in while away.

And is that a photo of Big D doign this wod with 135?!?

Arriving for the 6pm class for a wod like this is always awesome – loud and clear from the parking all you hear are the sounds of weight crashing down. Sounds like a place that forges badassness from molten steel (or plastic bumpers) through sweat, grunts and ole fashioned gumption in the nicer bowels of hell that you can stop in for a visit for an hour and then leave a little smellier and stronger than you arrived.

I went both up and down :( Coulda shoulda got 15! Next time.

Regardless, great work everyone – serious effort was going down last night! I look forward to tonight with a nervous excitement and a very sore body.

My outfit is pretty snazzy too.

    Excellent pics Lis!

  12. Nathan Says:

Cool photos! They helped me learn that my FS and BS are not nearly as bad as I picture them in my head ;)

I still want to develop the squat of LisDanJames though.

  13. Dan Says:

The pictures look great! I feel like I’m right there with you guys…just less pain, swearing and sweating. The LDJ squat reference really made my day too.

  14. K Says:

I see on the mainsite the WOD it 400m walking lunge… 572 I think was my count when we did it at the old box… that sucked so, soooo bad.. we should do it again soon…lol

  15. Nathan Says:

Holy crap those 400m walking lunge workouts are top among the wods that caused me the most post-wod pain!

Can we do that one tonight? For old times sake? Across the street even?
