CFW Daily

natefgbfgb4resultsNate, with the Sumo Deadlift High Pull, during Saturday’s Fight Gone Bad IV workout.

Ok, so we finished the Lean-Out Challenge, then we prepped for FGB. Now what? We’ve got two 5K Races to train for here in Watertown — Oct 17th and Nov 28th.

And we’ve got a CrossFit Level 1 Certification coming up this very weekend right here!

But do we need something else to focus on? Because, as we all know, if you have a goal in mind, your intent, motivation, and actions will be that much more purposeful, driven, and successful.  Don’t just think it might be nice to be fit, decide that your fitness will help you to accomplish a goal — and then you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that your fitness will actually help you in every aspect of your life. Go figure.

Anyhow, post your event/competition ideas to Comments!

Awesome picture of Nate! Good job to everyone on Saturday. We had a good turnout and everyone really gave it their all. Nice job to Barry with the 303!

  2. Greg Says:

We might have finished the lean out challenge but I think I need to start it again :)

  3. Greg Says:

Sorry, I missed FGB on Saturday. I had my own little FGB version of house cleaning on Saturday morning and couldn’t make it in time. Nice work everyone. And that is a GREAT picture of N8.

That is definitely the face of someone on their third round of FGB. Also, I agree with Greg on the lean out. I’ve still got some FUPA to take care of.

    @ Beery–what is FUPA?
It is interesting that Lean Out II Electric Bugaloo has been brought up. I just kicked mine off yesterday. I think for me on the “lean out front” I have to get this idea out of my head that healthful eating and drinking only comes in 4-6 week intervals and then let’s go have pizza and beer or beer and pizza.
The 5 K in November sounds like a fun thing to do as a group. It could also be fun to do a % improvement in some baseline challenge–CF total + 2K Row (since winter is coming, rowing may be more fun than running and this way we have to work on multiple path ways). Just an idea. We could also find a community project to work on together or in pockets and bring the CF spirit to that too.

    Just some thoughts.

  6. Rockstar Says:

David you don’t want to know what a FUPA is

  7. Greg Says:

    Ha.. what Rockstar said.

  8. Lisbeth Says:

    Beery set that one up.

  9. Lisbeth Says:

Crash Bs in Feb to aim for — but I’ll be at FilFest 2010, so no Crash for me.

But there will be months of rowing, once the weather sets in, so a rowing challenge would be good. I just analyzed video on Melissa rowing on Saturday and I think I have the key to fixing her row stroke and getting her over 300. (Besides refinement of her box jump technique.) Oh — and the plan to build her shoulders so she crushes me on push press.

  10. K Says:

    GRRRRR .. nice pic Nate!
@ Barry- some of us who suffer from the genetic FUPA disorder are feeling offended right now

  11. David K Says:

    What is FUPA?

  12. jen Says:

David, Google as images that will show you what you need to know!

  13. beery Says:

There’s even a music video but I don’t think Lis will appreciate the link.
