May 22nd, 2009 at 12:04 pm
@Jen -Why do you need to figure out the mac book for a gravatar? If you can get to the site you can get a gravatar!

For those who went to EC’s nutrition talk, she left something out that is really interesting. I started reading Good Calories Bad Calories. It is really good. But what wasn’t mentioned was an alternative to Zone and Paleo which is Banting. Banting is the diet that was developed for William Banting. The challenging thing here is that he was only allowed to consume a cordial in the morning, 4 – 5 glasses of wine and a tumbler of whiskey, gin or brandy each night. 19th century diets are so cool.

May 22nd, 2009 at 2:34 pm
Noper, he lost 65 lbs surviving on meat, stale toast and booze. Remember, no beer.

That diet actually works… I did a white wine and cigarette version (when I smoked about 10 years ago) Dropped 20lbs… in no time…

The marathon did not go as well as I expected – rain for the first 12 miles killed me mentally. I ended up walking about 5 miles i figure and finish in 5:36ish
Needless to say I will be back in Burlington next year for the 2010 marathon
good luck tomorrow

Thanks for the support from the CFW crew at Albany. Good luck for your Memorial Day WOD.
@Becky – Marathons and rain are a sucky combination, nice effort in spite of that. Hope the weather cooperates better next year
