Yesterday was Becky’s day. (A.k.a. Becky “I’ll shank you if you talk trash about CFW” TM.) She focused and relied on her skills. And she got several PRs at the Power Barn Olympic Lifting competition. Nothing was sketchy. Nothing was just okay. Becky showed the rest of us first-hand what effort, determination, and paying attention can get you. Way to go, Becky. 95lbs in the Clean and Jerk. (And remind us in Comments what you did in the Snatch.)

Dan and Lis: Bottom of the Snatch. Gee, any similarities?
Thanks to our friends at the Power Barn for the competition and the friendship! Without them, we’d be stuck making fun of each other!

Ooooo I like that – Barbell Beast!
I snatched 63. However as Barry and I discussed all night long last night (the people at the bar sitting next to us probably thought we were crazy) we think power lifts are easier for most people so I don’t think those are real PRs for me. Maybe this week I will try some Full Cleans and Snatches

LOL Dan. I sat in my L1 Cert last year and Coach asked, “How many of you get really sore after a WOD?” Almost all hands went up. “How many of you kind of dig it?” Almost all hands went up. Big smile from Coach. “You all are some sick m-fers.”

@ Becky: LOL This was my Saturday night: Me, in bed, writing the Affiliate Blog on my laptop. Becky on text asking about power lifts. K on text asking me to come drink beer. Jackie on FB discussing form for the Push Jerk.
The lines between work and fun are officially gone. I love my life.

Thought: CFT on April 3rd or 4th after we move into our new space. Then we do the “Strength Bias” program. Then CFT again. A bunch of us then go to the Oly Cert in Milford in late May. Come June we’ll be dying to do another Oly comp.

I’m taking advantage of the nice weather and cooking 5 pkgs of bacon so I can have the windows open. Found this fun box jump trick for the next CFW box jump fun while taking a short break between 3rd and 4th pound… http://sanfranciscocrossfit.blogspot.com/2009/03/hip-function-fluency.html
