We admit it. No post in the 24-hour-proper time frame yesterday. So that means a 50-Burpee penalty for us in front of the class.
(Really, we promised. It doesn’t matter that we work 20/7 for CrossFit. We’re supposed to post every day here, no matter what.)
And, in a totally unrelated announcement, all classes on Monday will enjoy an extra post-WOD 50 Burpees.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Sunday WOD Report…
In attendance: Greg, Sue, Chris, and Ben
Trainer: Kirk
Chris and Ben (crazy bastards) did Helen with the run outside with flurries. Greg (not tough enough) went to the rower after the 1st run.
Sue did Thursday’s Lunge/sit-up/pull-up workout.
Barry and Becky…. safe word I guess.
If it was still Feb., the extra 50 Burpees would have got you 1/4 of a sticker. In March, they get you a pat on the back and a ‘good for you’. Oh well… Better luck next Month.
p.s. If Coach Panda comes roll’n into the 6 am with a glowing tan from West Palm, he’s asking for a beat down.

Helen time this morning – 11:48
It’s too bad we only have a 1.25 pood KB. I’m ready to give this a go RX’ed next time.

Being the team player that I am.. I didn’t fight Chris on using the heaviest KB we had. I’m such a nice guy.

Hey.. Greetings from Virginia Beach…
Worked out at Crossfit Odyssey…
Friday night was Deadlift 5 5 5 5 5 = 115lb, 125lb, 135lb, 140lb, 140lb… Not bad for a dead lift virgin…
Saturday was Fight Gone Bad… I did it Rx’d (yeah for me) 192 was my score…
It is a little intimidating to be in Navy Seal land (some of the fittest people I have ever seen….)
Loking forward to seeing you all this week…

So, I’ve been thinking this week about the problem that I have when I start getting towards my max when I do cleans. I seem to just stall once the bar starts moving, even though I know I should be able to get it up there. Then, I read the CFJ article from this month called “Don’t Muddle The Middle” by Bill Starr. Basically, it emphasizes the importance of the middle of your lift. Bingo. I know that when I do cleans, all I’m thinking about is the beginning and ending, rather than focusing on the whole motion of the lift. Perhaps we should do some middle lift skill work this week?

Writing from the Philly airport where it looks like mine will be one of the last flights to make it out before the storm.
Just kidding on the 50 burpee bonus.
And Chris – use the DB instead of a KB. Plenty of those at heavier weights.
Roger on the 20lb med balls.
