Melissa teaches the class how to find and activate their TVA muscle, so they can have more effective control of the core during the WOD.
Some articles are just stupid. This is one. And they call that science? “Exercise improves women’s lives, even if they don’t lose weight.” Gee, what a breakthrough. Tomorrow: Being strong is more fun than being weak, and rain is wet.

Sometimes the obvious needs to be put on paper… obviously
Kirk found a WOD from the notebook and modified a little for me at the 6 am. I’ve named it ‘I wish I was 20′
4 Rds for Time:
20 Ring Push Ups
20 DB Thrusters (20 lbs of course)
20 Pull Ups
20 Walking lunges
20:54 for me… I was really trying to finish at 20:00. Better luck next time.
@Becky – I forgot to put my sticker on the chart from this morning. Could you please help me out?

Gee Greg, I did that workout last week with 30 pound thruster and could swear I did it in just under 20 minutes…but I could also be confused since I had to row instead of lunge.
Anyways – because I am such a nice person I will put your sticker up tonight.

Whew, Kirk, I’m glad you self-ID’d.
I didn’t want to have to call you out in front of the group.
Perhaps Coach Panda prompted you to do that?

@Kirk… That’s freak’n too funny. Or was it because Barry was whispering sweet nothings into your ear?

February 24th, 2009 at 4:18 pm

I thought only females had TVA muscles? Oh wait, maybe that’s something else . . .

If you want to call it a muscle, that’s okay by us.
(Note to self: Be very glad that Pam practices law and not medicine.)
