CFW Daily

teamwodThis photo says it all about last night’s Team WOD. Chris box jumps while his partner Rich gasps for air, and Greg rows while Jack looks away from the pain.

nocaitlinMeanwhile, this note on the wipeboard from Tues night says it all about the return of someone special. C’mon, girlfriend, don’t let us down like that . . .

beckyposterIn other news, Becky put her teacherly skills to great use and created a poster for our special “Most WODs” in a month contest that starts on Sunday. Everytime you do a WOD, put a sticker on the chart. Top 3 finishers win prizes!

Also, look for schedule changes to be posted soon for the dates of 4-9 Feb. We’ll still have a class or two every day, but the morning crew will need to make some adjustments for a short period. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience.

“Elizabeth” tonight? We promise gentle “clean” put downs.
I’m still gasping for air from the “Gasser” that was horrid!!!
Cait, come back!!! we were short one partner yesterday

  2. K aka Cracky Says:

you can promise gentle clean put downs…. but let me just say- if you get some nerve pinchy thing.. you are going to throw it…. sorry Lis, sorry floor….

  3. donna d Says:

do you still have you xmas lights up??? seriously?

  4. Jill Says:

Im doing the wod today with the football guys but no rings here at WestConn….Should I just do regular dips to sub? And whats the modified weight for cleans?

  5. Dan Says:

    oooh – no caitlin, ouch

and I certainly hope that list is in no particular order

Unfortunately I won’t be able to join you guys for Elizabeth but i promise to follow along at home…i’m trying to make it in this weekend but im not sure what my schedule is looking like yet

  6. Kirk Says:

Elizabeth was a bear!! Lungs burning, legs burning, tri’s burning. Everything was burning.
@Jill. Do whatever feels right. Men’s RX was 135 and I did 105 today and Greg did 115. The first round of 21 is a frickin’ killer!!! As for dips, I think Lis said you’re supposed to triple the number if you do regular dips, but that’s crazy. You can probably just do the workout as is, but with regular dips.

  7. Jill Says:

thanks Kirk! I’m with you that everything burns….I feel like my lungs are on fire, still. 7:24. Did it with only 65 lbs & bench dips. Which was difficult but probably shouldve done 70 or 75. Since I didnt have anyone to watch my form, I figured it’d be better to go up too much in weight

  8. Jen L *&^% Says:

Work will force me to workout at home today…sucks! Will hopefully see all at the 6AM Beaniefest tomorrow.

  9. Greg Says:

I won’t be able to make it tomorrow beaniefest. My wife’s going to be out of town so I get kid duty in the a.m.

  10. Caitlin Says:

Sorry everyone work took over my life once again. I promise to make an appearance very soon!

  11. Kirk Says:

@Caitlin, I’m not sure what your schedule is, but 6 am workouts are DELICIOUS!!! We usually have a good crew there.

  12. Chris Says:

Trust me when I say that I’d MUCH rather do cleans and ring dips than sit through this class tonight. See everyone tomorrow.

  13. Lisbeth Says:

I’m digging the lights until we move.

We have no room in our current spot to use the slosh pipe anyhow. And outside . . . well, outside is now BreakYourNeckville until we get rid of this darn ice.

  14. Nathan Says:

Sue and I spent HOURS decorating that slosh pipe! Removing the lights would be quite an insult. I am sure Sue would agree ;)

  15. K aka Cracky Says:

    OMG… WHERE ARE THE EGGS?!?!?!?!

  16. Lisbeth Says:

    DARLENE!
