In other news, work continues at our new location (across the street from our current location — and still in the fabulous Old Pin Shop in beautiful Oakville!) Here, we see the reworking of our new “cloak room” (memories of a Catholic school education!) where you’ll have the room to hang your coat or bag, and even hang out, take a seat, pop open your laptop, or watch the WOD while you’re waiting for your class to begin.

    Oh my GOD!! It looks like a burpee deadlift WOD!! And on the day where my neck can barely move and my right arm is having trouble lifting — does anyone else from the sunday workout feel like they got jumped?

    maybe my lesson learned is when your 1rep PR on a HPC is 73lbs then when a metcon includes 7 HPC you don’t put on 65lbs and go….

    Lis & Greg–I know you’ve spent the morning very concerned butfound my ear thingy…think it was in my sweatshirt sleeve. All of a sudden it appeared on the pool deck!!

    DAMN! I have to miss Burpee/Deadlift day!!!! I’ll have to do it this weekend. This is Jackson’s first day at Day Care so our schedule is changing a bit. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.
    @Chris. Try not to smile too much today. There are tons of muscles in your face and it might tire you out before the WOD.

    Hmmm. Maybe we could throw something extra into the WOD for Chris: Like a 20 second Time Out Chair. He has to stop what he’s doing for a full 20 seconds, and then can resume. Sort of like tying Barry’s arm behind him during dodgeball.

    Or wait, maybe we should blindfold Chris . . .

    Lis – before you stop knitting… how far did you get? If you did enough knitting for 1 ear, we can combine it with the knitting I got done. Maybe there is enough for Jill to have an extra pair.

    Lis posted a few days ago about the CFW community and this comment board is a shining example for humanity as to how much our community cares for the well being of one another. If you lost a headband at a “globo” would they start knitting a replacement headband for you? The answer my friends is a resounding “no”! When our forefathers brought forth on this continent a new nation some four score and 20 years ago, they were on to something when they said, “No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.” The last thing we want are excessive Emoluments.”

    Must stop brain atrophy….

    I’ve drank 7+ cups of coffee before and never even come close to hallucinating. Although I did meet a midget that would help me urinate every 15 minutes.
