Yesterday’s CrossFit.com WOD was so brutal that the Sat morning crew did it too! And hated it just as much! Yes!

And we hate to say it, but farewell (for now) to our college students who hung with us over Winter Break. We’ll miss Greg #2 and Alex — you both better come back and see us on future breaks!

    I hate thrusters – maybe I should start doing five a day in the warmup – I just can’t get my hip timing down!

    Reflection on Becky’s first training with Lis experience:

    Becky starts doing pushups

    Lis: “one, two, three and did you know…”

    Becky continues with push-ups as Lis tells a story

    Lis: “..and that’s why you shouldn’t eat cupcakes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. what are we on? oh ya Four, Five…”

    And Becky falls on her face as her arms give out after completing 100,000,000 pushups

    i first realized when it was fran or elizabeth or some workout where the scheme was 3 rounds; 21-15-9 and lis wanted us to to 3 rounds of 21-15-9……fortunately we were able to go online and settle the dispute before any real damage was done

    That workout put me right on my rear. After the 30/30 combo of GHD situps and hip/back extensions, I thought I was going to meet pukie the clown again. I’ll do that WOD again, but I need to hit ghd situps more. I felt like my body was saying “WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME!!!”

    Oh, and I think I got a little caught up in yesterday’s WOD and should publicly state that I really don’t consider Duffy my “bitch” because he didn’t get done with those GHD sit-ups by the time I was done with the pull-ups.

    (Who is that person that comes out during the WODs? She looks like me, but the things she says! Oy vey!)

    Actuall folks…I really did LOVE that workout yesterday…I completely ripped the skin off of my right hand and I could barely walk up the stairs today, but all in all, I d have to say it was pretty frikin’ wonderful….As for the whole “Deadlift/Burpee” workout, I think we should name it “Sue” so that when I’m NOT THERE to do it you all won’t miss me!!!!
