Jenny and Greg #1 enjoying some ring dips in the 6am workout. (See, we even lit up the Festivus pole for them! Ring dips make everybody smile, don’t they?)
In other news, Becky is working on Feb Fun — the “Most WODs in the Month” poster. (She’s a teacher, so you know there will be stickers involved somehow.) Person with the most workouts in the month of Feb wins a prize. We’re not sure what the prize will be, but we’re pretty sure it’s not a new car or the “spanking machine” that kids used to make you go through in elementary school when you lost at a game.

First off, anyone who was around Sunday morning knows that I will NOT be completing the ring dip portion of this WOD Rx’ed. My max is 45 ring dips… barely.
As for the rock climbing, maybe this time I’ll ACTUALLY look into it instead of saying I will and forgetting for 6 months. We’ll see what happens!

@Dan- I simply reached my limit for ring dips with the 21-15-9 workout we did. I’m still sore from it. Hopefully, tonight will loosen everything up a bit.

@Jackie: Girlfriend! We’ve missed you! Move looks like it will be the first week of Feb, depending on how quickly walls get built, etc. Might be a little rough in the early weeks but we’ll get it going on. Barbells and a concrete floor — what else does a girl need? (Oh — and guys. I mean, they need a concrete floor. Not that we need guys. I mean, some of us like them, but we don’t need them. Um, okay, I better shut up now.)

And to answer your other question, I’m not sure if there’s a video on the site. I was wondering about grabbing the bar from the rack and pressing it as opposed to cleaning it from the floor first. Apparently, cleaning it allows some people to press more.

Hope everyone had fun ring-dippin’ tonight. I did a non-arm intensive WOD myself at home today.
4 rounds of:
1/2 mile run
50 jump rope
25 squats
Clocked in at about 20 minutes.
My arms should be good to go by tomorrow’s class. See everyone then!

Well I caught up on front squats and the clean and jerk ladder workout yesterday so I ended up subbing 225lb deadlifts for the powercleans and did the ring dips as rx’d and it was absolutely brutal i can only imagine the powercleans

@Dan — how do you “sub” deadlifts for powercleans? That’s not a suitable sub! That’s like subbing pull-ups for muscle-ups . . .
@K: It does not sound like you have the requisite foursome for 7pm tonight — unless Sue and Dan are quick to jump in. I’m planning to workout this morning but could be persuaded to stay at 7pm just for fun.
