Looked like fun! Sorry I missed it.
Was that an all trainer workout at the end?!
January 11th, 2009 at 11:53 pm
Yes, plus our buddy Matt from the Power Barn!
And I should clarify: That the WOD derives from combining two CF WODs called Karen and Grace. (I know everyone understands this, but the English prof. in me won’t be able to sleep unless I make all that language perfectly clear.)

Ok,Ok… I just wanna know who had the best times for the WOD!!!!

SWEET music selection, lisbeth!

Lis great vid as usual. Thanks for hosting, sorry we brought the snow again.

dd, did you notice me laying on the floor playing with the dogs during the WOD? I’m such a dork!
January 12th, 2009 at 8:55 am
Negative Ghostrider, that pink shirt on the floor with the dogs is Leslie after she finished.
January 12th, 2009 at 9:11 am
Lis you are correct, the dogs like anyone who is hot and sweaty.
January 12th, 2009 at 10:17 am
Good because I did not remember doing that!
January 12th, 2009 at 10:22 am
Awesome video Lis.
P.S. All the cool kids did their WOD in ‘Da Safe’. I think it should be required that everyone at CF Watertown has to do at least one heavy lifting WOD in the safe before we move to our new digs.
January 12th, 2009 at 10:22 am
Cool video Lis!! Looks like your finally getting a handle on that iMovie
@K, i think James (CF Boston) was the fastest male and im not sure who the fastest female was, our Sue finished strong at 14+ minutes
and I need to work on Jerking the bar and not pressing it…..
January 12th, 2009 at 10:41 am
Wait a second… we aren’t taking the safe with us when we move to the new spot?
I love the safe.
January 12th, 2009 at 10:42 am
its not about the clock, some did heavy weights and pushed themselves…some went light for more of a met con. its all good. we all win!
lis, nice vid. fun times. we’re moving in next week.
@jen, you were on the floor with the dogs, we just don’t have it on film.
January 12th, 2009 at 11:14 am
Geesh, it’s bad when others have to tell you where you were!
January 12th, 2009 at 11:17 am
Fastest WOD was hard to gauge on this one.
I know I only went with 70lbs and I think I should have gone 75, if not 80 or 85. I finished somewhere in 14 min range. (But I used a 15lb wallball.)
I think Sue might have done better than me. (Again! Go Sue!)
@Dan: You and Rich both. This video is handy for analyzing your technique versus others. I think the first thing we do is take some weight off the bar and fix it, then we’ll build back up.
January 12th, 2009 at 12:12 pm
Great talk… great work out… great video…. Thanks!!
January 12th, 2009 at 1:27 pm
@Lis & Dan, you’re so right. Cleans needs work. So important if you ever want to get to bigger weights. Help!!!
Love that video!!
BTW Lis 14:02 wow!! at any weight. Not sure where Sue was.
January 12th, 2009 at 1:52 pm
That is a fantastic workout !
Used 60kg for clean and jerk and a 22lb home made med ball to a 8ft target – 15mins 23secs

Davie — you’re a monster, brother!
(To info the rest of you — Davie owns CrossFit Central Scotland.)
Thanks for posting!

@ Lis vid is great to look at technique. I need to go deeper in the wallball shot squats and jerk the weight not just press or push press it. James not only had the fastest time but I think he did 11 rounds!
January 12th, 2009 at 11:01 pm
Glad you caught those things, Matt (before I felt compelled to tell you!)
We all have things to work on. Biggest thing for me is to stop psyching myself out and just load more weight on the bar. Well, that and improve all technique.
And James was amazing!
January 13th, 2009 at 8:10 am
Yep James is amazing, thank god he is only a law student and can’t count. If he actually kept track of his rounds we would all be in trouble. He will be one to watch at the North East Qualifier.
