In other news, today is the EC Extravaganza! We’ll see you at 10am for a nutrition talk and then a WOD with some barbellish hell and our friend Wall-ball.

    It was an awesome day!! Thanks Lis & EC!! Lots of good and different information that really has me thinking about how and what we eat.
    The WOD was great and I LOVE CROSSFIT and all of the amazing people who do it.

    So I was reading the CFJ article from November entitled “Overhead Is Rising…” to try and learn a thing or two about the press. At one point, the author states:

    “While learning this exercise, you can either clean the bar or take it off the rack…Once you learn the proper form you might want to start cleaning the weights because it’s actually easier to press a weight after it has been cleaned than it is pressing it after taking it off a rack.”

    Does anyone know why this would be the case? I’m all for being able to press more, but I don’t see what cleaning it does that would make it easier than just grabbing it from the rack.

    Good read Chris!!!. You should try posting that on CF Message Board and see what comes back.
    I’m sure Lis can help. Maybe we should try it and see if it enhances the press.

    Are anyone’s legs still as sore as mine? Seriously, it hurts to walk up and down the stairs. The Saturday WOD kicked my rear all over the place, and I didn’t even finish! I’d like to try that one again some day. See you all soon if I get over this cold.

    @Kirk, I’m with you. Gluts & Hams are still screaming. Good thing I have a plow for the driveway. The walk can wait till I can walk.
    @Greg, I’m soooo! impressed, Sat WOD Rx. Good job. I too would like another shot at that (Rx but with no clock limit)
    I don’t know about you guy’s but I was proud to be associated with Lis and CFW. She rocked that WOD on Sat.

    Nice work Greg. Next time I am doing that WOD in the safe that way I can do Rx weight and drop it, lowering every time on the platform sucked. I will also work on my squat depth for the wallball, thanks for pointing that out Rich. My legs are crushed today. But something was left as both James and I PR’d our snatches this morning.
