Turkeys and the Power Barn

CFW Daily

Nate practices his post-Thanksgiving meal lounging. (Or he just did 100 Burpees for time.)

A man of many talents (including a very strong hip drive and some evil facial expressions during Sumo Deadlift High Pulls) Nate just redesigned the Power Barn site. Nice work, Nate! (Even if you did get paid with 3 chickens, half-a-hog, and complimentary soaps from the Holiday Inn Express.)

Reminder: Class is at 5 pm tonight. Closed Tomorrow. Fat Friday WOD at 3pm, with festivities to follow.

Hey … those were 3 dancing chickens from Rhode Island and the good half of the hog … and Nate really needed the soap (just kidding Nate) … plus, he’s a cheap date (this part is true)

Also, I notice that the Turkey Day workout on the CrossFit main page is …… “Nate”!!

Coincidence … or did Nate hack their site? Hmmmm ….

  7. Lisbeth Says:

I heard Nate was cheap, but he wasn’t easy.

(Or was that the other way around? Texas is confusing me. Darn third-world countries.)

Just want to send out warm holiday wishes to all the CF Watertown family.
Even though you aren’t as cool as us Massachusetts people, you guys are A-OK by CT standards.

    Happy Thanksgiving to the gang!!!

As far a “Fat Friday” goes…I’m bringing sandwich meat and Melissa + Kirk are bringing all the fixins for sandwiches…

    Other stuff we need:
    veggies
    fruit
    pretzles and stuff like that
    beverages (BEER, Gatorade, water)
    cups
    plates
    napkins
    other assorted yumminess…

If everyone who shows brings something, we’ll have plenty…

Its gonna be a full house…maybe 20 or so…let the maddness begin!

    Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I know last night we were talking about pot luck – I was thinking of bringing a coldcut platter and some rolls on friday – does that sound like a good idea? or like too much food post-thanksgiving?

  11. sueloz Says:

Becly…that’s perfect!!! I’m going to do that too…with 20 people and the two of us bringing coldcuts, it should be enough for everyone…

  12. Dan Says:

Hey sorry I couldn’t make it last night, I left work at 3:45 and didn’t get home until 6:15 … traffic is the bane of my existence

Anyways I’m definitely in for tomorrow’s fat friday wod, I’ll bring some beverages (water, beer, absinthe – the usual).

Hope everyone has a good turkey day!
