CFW Daily

David and Melissa enduring presses in a brutal press/back extension WOD last night.

Let’s talk about achievement this week:

David got his first pull-up!

Melissa returned to class for the first time after downloading baby Jackson!

And Sue pulled a 1:56 for the 500 meter row.

Congrats to everyone who’s working hard and making their dreams come true at CrossFit Watertown. We’re proud of all of you!

(Reminder: Closed on Sat/Open on Sun this week.)

    Check it out: http://www.thecarconnection.com/mpg-quiz/index.html

I ended up getting 44 miles per gallon.

  3. Nathan Says:

Congrats to all! It was a good week for sure: PR’s, dodgeball, gymnastics, some nasty good WODs, and tonights beer and baklava extravaganza! errrr… I mean grueling workout.

37 mpg. My car does better. German vs. Polish engineering I guess?

  4. David Kirk Says:

I get 40.5 MPG ( I think it is because of my fuel stores). I must get back to work…until the next diversion.

  5. Yentl Says:

awww… my big ass only gets 36mpg :( at least i do better than the nissan im drivin lol…

To the whole crew (especially the dirty women) congrats on all your gains!!!!!

  6. Dan Says:

Its ok David, I got 39.5 mpg (hybrid car, yay) – I can’t go very long without eating…congrats on your first pullup though! i bet they’ll get easier pretty quickly for you

Anyways Chris, I think its important that we base ourselves in reality – who’s really going to ever be a car…come on now

knowing how many five year olds you can take out in a fight just might save your life someday…I got a 28 so I’m safe in most areas where 5 year olds gather like schools, playyards etc…

  7. Jill Says:

Does anyone else but me work around here anymore??? Kidding…I can’t tell you how enjoyable it is to check out all the links when I’m in the middle of a “swimming crisis”!

I can only take on 22 kids….thats sad.

  8. Chris Says:

@Dan- I tied you at 28 kids so together, we should be able to handle about 3 Kindergarten classes at once.

  9. Yentl Says:

AWWWW WTF?! I got 26 kids… that’s with “being trampled” experiance AND bine in 8+ fights ….. Well al least I know I can take the 10 kids on my block lol

Loved the Ablog today — of course I am too timid to post there – so i post here instead so that you all will go read it

    And Lis
for the record… i would totally get a crossfit watertown tattoo (i bet everyone would, even if you didn’t give out free lifetime memberships)

  11. Nathan Says:

Super late notice, but I am not sure how much longer I will be stuck here at work, so I might be a no-show or a late-show…..

  12. David Kirk Says:

I don’t believe your 5 year old numbers. I’ve taken on whole birthday parities, but only scored 18 kids on the survey. I think it’s biased against folks over 36.
Hard to type…arms still sore from pressing. Hope y’all had fun tonight.

  13. Pamela Says:

Nate, Sue and Darlene stopped by to hit the main site WOD tonight — and they ROCKED it!!! Great work and a totally impressive effort by all three.

  14. Sue Loz Says:

Pamela-Thanks for running the show tonight….hope to have you back soon!

  15. becky Says:

I was a 39 MPH hybrid and could fight 23 5 year olds — although I feel comfortable fighting more because i think i went conservative on the violence portion

  16. Nathan Says:

I admit I was dreading it, but last night was kinda fun. I think ;) Thanks Pam!
