Rich’s Broomstick Mile — a joy from start to finish! (Well, nobody actually said it that way.) Still, shared misery is a great motivator!

We’re off to CA to attend a CrossFit Kids Certification this weekend but Kirk will be bringin’ the pain (um, we mean exercise) until Tuesday. Remember, if you want to attend a 6am Monday class, let Kirk know by posting in Comments.

    Thank you all for the birthday wishes. Who’s next? Hope you all enjoyed the WOD as much as I did.
    @Kirk, Now that MOP is off to learn how to punish, i mean introduce your kid to CF lets get back to some normal?? CF WOD’s.

    Kathrine – glad you stopped by yesterday. I did go this am & Kirk kicked my butt! I hope that arabic exam went well last night! You’ll be happy to know that the cookies were gone before I even came out of the locker room!! They did leave me the cakes though…

    @Kathrine- I went to the first night of the Rock and Shock Festival last night: August Burns Red, Between the Buried and Me, The Black Dahlia Murder, Children of Bodom. Uploading videos to YouTube as we speak!

    Hey, here’s an idea: let’s just add all the birthday numbers up and make a team WOD for everybody else in the month of Sept.

    @ Chris- I did the math and suprisingly that sheet was almost dead on for me….
    210 for my 1 rep max….
    did 175 for my 5 rep max…about 83%….
    How did it work out for you?

    Hey everyone, if you plan on coming to the 6 am on Monday, let me know on the blog at some point today. I’ll check back Sunday night to see if we have any takers. If not, I’ll be there at 6 pm Monday, as well.

    Yes Lis, your correct. I turned 17 on the 10th. I can’t wait to pick your brain about the crossfit kids – hopefully you picked up some good stuff that I can try to incorporate with my club & college kids. Maybe we can have you as a guest MOP one day!!!

    Thanks so much for keeping the big CFW machine running while the MOP is away…the weekends are a great time to workout for me and its great to have that SAT/SUN combo available…Katherine, always a blast to be able to workout with you!!!!!!

    @Kathrine- The last set where I was able to do the full five reps was at 270. My one-rep max is 315 so that comes to about 85%. Check.

    I’m almost afraid to admit that my birthday is this Thursday. NO WALLBALL!
