CFW Daily

Jill learning to split jerk. We have some technique flaws to work on, but the important thing is that we’re working on them, not just pretending they don’t exist. That’s an important point in CrossFit, and in life.

Did you do your Burpees today? Keep on top of them each day or you’ll end up doing 36 at once on the deck in the middle of beers one night and then force everybody there to demonstrate their squat to you so you can correct them all. (Or, maybe, that only happened to us on vacation last night in VA. Hmmm.)

Hahaha correcting people’s squats… vacation-mode Lis strikes again!

  2. Jill Says:

Gosh my arms look so long in that picture!!

Couldnt make it to either class today – believe it or not but I have to work!!

But I did the main site “Murph” and I am DEAD! That was by far the hardest workout I’ve done since starting crossfit. No idea on any times but it took me 61:57 with jumping pull ups & knee push ups. I’ve never felt so remedial as when I tried to run the last mile.

  3. Kirk Says:

FYI. I got up at 5:25 this morning to cover the 6 am class, only to have nobody show up. Note to Crossfit Watertown…you will feel my wrath for the rest of the week! Tonight’s class should be packed, and, much like Gladiator, I will have my vengence, in this life or the next!

  4. Jill Says:

Uh Oh! I swear, I was on my way to work at 7 so I wouldve never made the class!

  5. Kirk Says:

Don’t worry, I think Murph was more than a suitable punishment…..haha.

  6. Nathan Says:

Kirk, don’t forget who you are (the good cop)!

Plus, in my history of CFW, I have never attended any morning classes… so logic dictates that I am off the hook. Phew.

    See y’all tonight.

  7. Kathrine Says:

Jackie I will keep your son and family in my thoughts and prayers!

If his unit or company needs supplies, toiletries etc let me know. The major benefit to teaching in Trumbull CT is that the students are more than willing to bring in donation items in exchange for extra credit points. Just let me know what they need and how to get it delivered to them!
