  1. Nate Says:

Very nice, I love the tire flip and jump at the end! :)

For mine maybe you can put together a slide show of the million pictures you have of me in pain? Or maybe just put a censoring bleep over the whole thing….

    Lis –

I may have been a cupcake about not getting out of bed this morning…but I did redeem myself & do the WOD with the fball coaches down at work. Holy! That workout was right up there with Fran. That week of not doing much caught up to me! I’m at swim meets all weekend but I will be there Monday night.

What I said is all true. It really doesn’t matter who you are. It’s all about attitude and saying to yourself, “This is an incredibly demanding task, but I’m going to do it anyway!”

It’s been said that whether you think or can or think you can’t, you’re probably right. I think that speaks volumes here.

  4. Lisbeth Says:

Nice choice, Jill. Doing the main site WOD with the football coaches is about the ONLY thing that would have saved you from seeing your mug on the cupcake poster tomorrow. (Quick, everybody take note in case you find yourself in a similar situation.)

Ben showed up last night and Becky has a valid excuse so no cupcake award this week. Sigh.

And, Chris, you’re totally right. Witness Kathrine at noon today: 105 lb OHS with rock solid form. Plus new PRs in the Front Squat and the Back Squat. Outstanding attitude and outstanding effort go hand in hand.

  5. Kathrine Says:

Actually, I think it was 100# overhead squat (but I’ll totally take it!) … lol Chris you are correct ….unlike so many other things, “here” (as in the CrossFit program) the belief that you can is the only thing that really matters. It truly is amazing what your body and mind can acomplish when you force them to work together. For example, Most people think they cannot do 100 pull-ups. However, if you can do one, you can do a hundred no problem. All you need is the trust that one at a time will add up to your ultimate goal….. fantastic…. Night all!

  6. Lisbeth Says:

    500 lbs! It was a 500lb OHS!

Oh, wait, maybe I made a mistake. (You know I teach English and not math, right?)

    And, K, you’re right! Today’s warm-up special for you: 100 pull-ups! Yeahhhh!
